Hi, I'm Alicia!I’m the person behind HappySnaps, based right here in Charleston.I didn’t start this business because I love perfectly posed photos—I started it because I love the real stuff. The in-between moments. The laughs that weren’t planned. The little interactions that actually mean something years later.I’ve raised two now-grown sons and am currently raising a daughter, so I know firsthand how fast everything changes. One minute you’re in the thick of it, and the next you’re wishing you had just a few more snapshots of what everyday life looked like back then. That’s a big part of why I do this.My sessions are relaxed and flexible. Kids don’t have to sit still. You don’t have to know what to do with your hands. I’ll guide you when you need it and step back when the real moments are happening on their own. While I love Charleston’s beaches and historic spots, some of my favorite sessions happen in the simplest places—your backyard, your living room, or wherever your life is actually unfolding.When I’m not behind the camera, I’m usually with my husband watching our baby girl take in the world, cheering on the Gamecocks, or fighting our three dogs for a spot on the couch.If you’re looking for photos that feel natural and not overly staged, you’ll fit right in here.
