FAQs
If you’re wondering how this all works, you’re not alone. Here are some of the most common questions I get.
What should we wear?
Keep it simple and comfortable. Neutral tones and soft colors tend to photograph really well, and it’s best to avoid loud patterns or logos.

If you’re not sure, I’m happy to help you decide—I can give suggestions based on your location and the overall look you’re going for.
What if my kids don’t cooperate?
Totally normal—and honestly expected.

I don’t try to force kids to sit still the whole time. We keep things moving, let them be themselves, and work around their energy. Some of the best photos come from those in-between moments.
We’re awkward in photos … is that a problem?
Not at all. Most people feel that way at first.

I’ll guide you the whole time so you’re never left wondering what to do. The goal isn’t perfection—it’s just to help you feel comfortable enough to be yourselves.
Where do sessions take place?
Sessions can be done around Charleston—at the beach, downtown, in a park, or even at your home.

If you don’t have a location in mind, I can suggest a few options based on the look you want.
How long does a session last?
Most sessions last about 30–60 minutes.

I don’t rush things, but I also keep it moving so it doesn’t feel drawn out—especially for kids.
When will we get our photos?
You’ll receive your edited gallery within about 1–2 weeks.

I’ll send you a link where you can download your images, share them, and order prints if you’d like.
What happens if the weather doesn’t cooperate?
If the weather isn’t great, we’ll reschedule or change locations—no stress.

I keep an eye on the forecast and will reach out ahead of time if we need to adjust.
Do you help with posing?
Yes—but nothing stiff or overly posed.

I’ll give you simple direction when needed, but a lot of the best moments happen naturally while you’re interacting with each other.
How do we book a session?
Just head over to the booking page and fill out the form.

You don’t need to have all the details figured out—just a starting point is perfect, and we’ll plan the rest together.
